Innkeeper's Cottage
THE INNKEEPER’S COTTAGE was built in the early 1900s around the same time as the LAKE RABUN HOTEL. Like many of the “Lakemont cottages” it was constructed of cedar board and batten.
In 2008 it was purchased and restored by the current owners at the same time that they purchased and restored the Lake Rabun Hotel. It has served as the Innkeeper’s Cottage since being renovated in 2008.
Walk into an open living room with cathedral ceiling and original stone fireplace. The Living Room flows into a fully equipped kitchen accented by Southern Cedar logs scribed into place by local craftsmen following the rustic style found in these mountains and the Adirondacks. Comfortable period antiques and primitives, oriental rugs, and local fine art and crafts create an upscale eclectic mountain atmosphere.
The cottage offers two bedrooms featuring queen sized beds, unique private baths with stone showers and antique dry sinks lined with copper, upgraded with modern faucets replacing the old water pumps. These two bedrooms can be rented separately since they each have their own entrance. They are offered separately as the "one bedroom master suite" or the "one bedroom main cottage", which includes the living, dining, and kitchen areas.
A large cedar log front porch appointed with cedar Adirondack furniture is perfect for outdoor dining or just sitting and enjoying the beautiful sights and sounds of people having fun on Lake Rabun. Historic Hall’s Boat House is right across the street– a great place to put your boat in or have a rental brought to you.
Amenities include TV, DVD player for movies, wireless internet, maid service, complimentary bottle of wine from one of our award winning local vineyards upon arrival, firewood for the stone fireplace in season, and a full gourmet breakfast each morning in the hotel.

All hotel policies apply to the cottage. In addition, for week-long stays,
a security deposit of $250.00 for rental of the entire cottage and $175.00
for rental of the one-bedroom main cottage may be required and will be
promptly refunded within one week after departure. This will give us
enough time to inspect the cottage for damages. Should damage to the
cottage or its contents exceed the security deposit collected, your credit
card will be charged for the full replacement amount.
