⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an experience!

Lake Rabun Hotel is one of those places that you don’t just stay at—you experience it. From the moment we arrived, there was something so charming, peaceful, and unique about this beautiful historic hotel.

The atmosphere has so much character and warmth. It feels tucked away from the craziness of everyday life, surrounded by the beauty of the North Georgia mountains. There’s something incredibly relaxing about slowing down, taking in the surroundings, and enjoying a place that has managed to keep so much of its original charm.

The staff made the experience even better with their hospitality and attention to detail. Everything felt welcoming and personal rather than like your typical hotel stay.

If you’re looking for modern cookie-cutter luxury, this isn’t that—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. Lake Rabun Hotel has history, personality, charm, and an atmosphere you simply can’t recreate.

The best part about this lodging is the staff.  Amanda (hotel manager) and Taylor (restaurant manager) were gracious, attentive, and delightful making us feel welcomed and valued as customers.  Front desk Jessica was welcoming and helpful in making recommendations.  The hotel itself is historic with unique features.  Breakfasts are yummy and freshly prepared. My husband and I eloped in Minnehaha and decided to choose Lake Rubun as our wedding dinner and we were not disappointed! Our server, Taelor also the manager of the restaurant was the sweetest person ever!! She made our night special with her generosity. Truly someone who loves what they do! Went to Lake Rabun Hotel for our anniversary and had the best time! When you reserve your room, you can add a bunch of options. We did 1/2 day pontoon (and you can get a to-go lunch from them to take on boat - ours was delicious), wine and chocolate covered strawberries, and dinner one night at restaurant. Breakfast is included. After you reserve, they will call you to make your dinner reservations and help you with anything else. We had the large room on 3rd floor with all the windows and it was the most sunny and spacious. The other rooms are very cozy looking. Getting to 3rd floor was easy - you can enter via the back for just one flight. The boat rental was amazing, the restaurant across the street is great, and the food at the hotel is really good. Five stars with two thumbs up! This 100 year old hotel with decks over calming waterfalls and complementary tea and coffee in the sitting areas on each floor on a hill in the forested mountain above Lake Rabun both relaxes and energizes you at the same time. We stayed in the Innkeeper’s Cottage    Quaint rustic charm.   Great efforts have been made to maintain its original beauty. We stayed at this hidden gem for the weekend and had the best time!  Kayla, the bartender was the BEST!  Every suggestion she made from the drinks, the food, the desserts…was simply perfect!
The room is homey and quaint.  The bed was super comfortable.  I love the little patios and sitting areas.  I highly recommend..
If you go for dinner - be sure to have a drink at the bar with Kayla first (or eat there like we did)

We have known about this hotel for a while but it was our first time staying here for a special occasion we were celebrating. We are so glad that we did! The staff was so accommodating, and everything was perfect for a cozy weekend in the mountains. We ate at the hotel restaurant (highly recommended making reservations) and it was so good!
