Mickey Quincey – GM of the Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant

All great teams have a central person who keeps things moving—someone who brings order, direction, and energy to the field. In football, it’s the quarterback; in baseball, the pitcher. At the Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant, that person is our General Manager, Mickey Quincey.

Mickey joined the Lake Rabun Hotel in August 2023 to assist the owner with bookkeeping. Though the hospitality world was new to her, she quickly immersed herself in front desk operations—handling reservations, guest services, and everything in between. Growing up in Rabun County gave her firsthand knowledge of the area’s charm, which made her a natural and welcoming first point of contact for our guests.

As she mastered hotel operations, the owner completed construction of Forest Lodge, our special events venue designed for weddings, corporate retreats, private parties, and more. Mickey stepped into that role seamlessly—managing it with skill, creativity, and care. Under her direction, Forest Lodge has flourished and continues to grow.

It wasn’t long before her dedication earned her a new nickname—Mickey “Can Do”—and a well-deserved promotion to General Manager.

Anyone who works with Mickey will tell you: she is all about creating a world-class guest experience. “No” simply isn’t in her vocabulary. She’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that each guest enjoys their stay and leaves with memories to cherish.

If you ask Mickey what she’s most proud of, she’ll tell you it’s not only the happiness of our guests, but the growth of the team she leads and inspires each day.

Her attention to detail and strong leadership have helped the Lake Rabun Hotel earn recognition as one of the Five Best Hotels in Georgia, as ranked by the Better Business Journal.

When you come to stay or dine with us, be sure to say hello to Mickey. You’ll may find her opening the door with a big smile and a warm welcome.
